Year Two Progress Report

Adopted in September 2003, the UC Davis Strategic Plan is entering its third year as a guiding document for planning, actions, and decisions throughout the campus.

Assessing progress on a regular and ongoing basis continues to be a critically important part of the Strategic Plan.  This “Year Two” progress report consists of the individual reports of the point teams, usually a vice chancellor or vice provost and a dean, assigned to coordinate action and monitor progress.

The reports have been prepared in the same format used for Year One – a brief narrative summary of 2004-05 implementation efforts; a bullet-form description of advances and ongoing programs consistent with the strategy; a bullet-form statement of plans for 2005-06, and, in some cases, a discussion of the metrics that are being used to measure progress in advancing the strategy.  The reports are brief by design -- many contain links to additional material relevant to the strategy for those seeking more information.

You are invited to review these reports to see what has been accomplished in Year Two. The campus has much to be proud of and the reports are a good summary of what has been accomplished in relation to the Plan’s goals.  The Year One report remains posted on the Web as well for your reference.  We continue to welcome your thoughts, suggestions, and recommendations related to the Plan.  You may address them to the point people for a particular strategy or by e-mail to strategicplan@ucdavis.edu.  All submissions will be thoughtfully considered and acknowledged.
